Erasmus+ stands for European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students Plus. It allows students to study at two or more European universities and earn joint, double, or multiple degrees. The scholarship covers tuition fees, travel costs, and living expenses.

Notes: Recently, user trials of Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket (ERASR) were successfully conducted from INS Kavaratti. Extended Range Anti-Submarine Rocket (ERASR) is a fully indigenous anti-submarine weapon built for Indian Naval Ships. It is launched from Indigenous Rocket Launchers (IRL) installed onboard naval ships. It is designed to combat underwater submarine threats with precision. It was developed by Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE), Pune, under Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).

Notes: Recently, Punjab government launched the ‘Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana’ (MMSY) promising free and cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh per year. It aims to benefit around 3 crore permanent residents of Punjab, including government employees and pensioners. Mukhyamantri Sehat Yojana health cards will be issued to eligible residents. Free treatment will be provided in all empanelled government and private hospitals. The scheme ensures best quality medical care at zero cost to patients.

Notes: Recently, ‘Vatsala’, Asia’s oldest elephant, died at the age of over 100 years in Panna Tiger Reserve, Madhya Pradesh. Panna Tiger Reserve is the only tiger reserve in the Bundelkhand region. It is located in the Vindhyan mountain range in northern Madhya Pradesh. It lies in the Deccan Peninsula biogeographic zone and the Central Highlands biotic province.

Notes: Recently, Kasaragod district won the Fisheries Department Excellence Award 2025 under the Popular Fish Farming Project in Kerala. It was declared the best district for achievements in the fisheries sector. The award is part of the annual State Farmer Awards to honour aquaculture excellence. Kasaragod earlier won the Matsya Karshaka Award and Best Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) Award in 2023. Its District Panchayat was the first in India to declare a tree, flower, and bird as district biodiversity symbols.
