Initially designed for anti-aircraft roles, newer versions can destroy ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, loitering munitions, and aircraft. It is developed by Raytheon Technologies Corporation, a United States aerospace and defence company. It is the most advanced air defence system used by the United States Army.

Notes: Recently, India joined 18 other nations in Talisman Sabre 2025, a major bilateral military drill hosted by Australia. Talisman Sabre is the largest bilateral military exercise between Australia and the United States (US). It has been held biennially since 2005, making 2025 its 11th edition. It is conducted across multiple locations in Australia and offshore, using both Defence and non-Defence areas. It aims to promote a free and open Indo-Pacific by boosting interoperability and partnerships. The exercise involves live-fire drills, amphibious landings, air combat, maritime ops, and ground manoeuvres.

Notes: Recently, experts clarified that reaching the Jarawa Tribe for enumeration is not difficult due to ongoing contact and welfare initiatives. The Jarawas are among the world’s oldest surviving indigenous communities. They are listed as a Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Group (PVTG) by the Government of India. The Jarawa tribe is primarily found in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Specifically, they live in nomadic bands of about 40–50 people in Middle and South Andaman Islands.</p>
