Notes: As of 22nd July 2025, over 30.95 crore unorganised workers have registered on the e-SHRAM portal. e-SHRAM stands for Electronic Shramik Registration and Management. Notes: A photo exhibition on the Gavri festival of the Bhil tribe of Mewar is being showcased for the first time at the India International Centre Art Gallery. Gavri is a 40-day ritual held annually after Raksha Bandhan by the Bhil community in Rajasthan to honour Gorkhiya Mata. Bhil troupes perform khels (dance-dramas), songs, and religious rituals in villages, especially where their married sisters and daughters live. The drama combines dialogue, music, and vibrant costumes, also called Gavri or Rai Nach.

Notes: In July 2025, five confirmed cases of Legionnaires’ disease were reported in Central Harlem, New York City. The New York City Department of Health launched an urgent investigation into possible environmental sources. Cooling towers, air conditioners, hot tubs, and humidifiers are being tested for Legionella bacteria. Legionnaires’ disease is a severe type of pneumonia caused by Legionella bacteria. The bacteria are found in natural water sources like lakes, rivers, and soil, and can spread through inhaling contaminated water droplets. It is not contagious and cannot spread from person to person.

Notes: In July 2025, researchers captured the first-ever photos of the elusive Marbled Cat in Kakoi Reserve Forest, Assam. The Marbled Cat (Pardofelis marmorata) is a small wild cat native to South and Southeast Asia. It resembles a miniature clouded leopard but is unrelated to it. In India, it mainly inhabits forests in the Northeastern states. Marbled Cats are solitary, nocturnal, and feed on small animals and birds. It is listed as Near Threatened on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List.

Notes: In July 2025, ISRO announced that the NASA-ISRO NISAR satellite has been mounted on the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) ahead of its launch. All systems of the rocket have been successfully checked. NASA-ISRO Synthetic Aperture Radar (NISAR) is a joint mission between the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and ISRO to study Earth’s changing ecosystems. GSLV is developed by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) to launch satellites into Geosynchronous Transfer Orbits (GTOs). It can carry heavier payloads than the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV).
