जनसंख्या संघटन का अर्थ है जनसंख्या की विभिन्न विशेषताओं जैसे आयु, लिंग, निवास स्थान, व्यवसाय, शिक्षा आदि के आधार पर उसकी संरचना का अध्ययन करना। यह किसी देश या क्षेत्र के सामाजिक और आर्थिक ढाँचे को समझने में मदद करता है।
जनसंख्या संघटन के प्रमुख तत्व
- लिंग संघटन: किसी क्षेत्र में पुरुषों और स्त्रियों की संख्या का अनुपात।
- आयु संघटन: जनसंख्या को विभिन्न आयु वर्गों में बाँटना।

1. लिंग अनुपात
परिभाषा: प्रति हज़ार पुरुषों पर स्त्रियों की संख्या को लिंग अनुपात कहते हैं।
गणना: (स्त्रियों की संख्या / पुरुषों की संख्या) * 1000
महत्व: यह किसी समाज में स्त्रियों की सामाजिक और आर्थिक स्थिति को दर्शाता है। विश्व में अधिकांश देशों में लिंग अनुपात पुरुषों के पक्ष में है, लेकिन कुछ देशों जैसे रूस, लातविया में स्त्रियों की संख्या अधिक है। भारत में 2011 की जनगणना के अनुसार लिंग अनुपात 943 था।
2. आयु संरचना
परिभाषा: जनसंख्या को विभिन्न आयु वर्गों में बाँटना आयु संरचना कहलाता है।
वर्गीकरण:
- बाल आयु वर्ग (0-14 वर्ष): यह आश्रित वर्ग होता है।
- वयस्क आयु वर्ग (15-59 वर्ष): यह कार्यशील जनसंख्या होती है।
- वृद्ध आयु वर्ग (60 वर्ष及以上): यह भी आश्रित वर्ग होता है।
आयु-लिंग पिरामिड: यह एक ऐसा ग्राफ है जो आयु वर्ग और लिंग के अनुसार जनसंख्या का वितरण दिखाता है। इसके तीन प्रमुख प्रकार हैं:
- त्रिभुजाकार: उच्च जन्म दर और मृत्यु दर वाले देशों में (जैसे नाइजीरिया)।
- घंटी के आकार का: जनसंख्या स्थिर होने पर (जैसे ऑस्ट्रेलिया)।
- अर्धवृत्ताकार (कलश आकार): जनसंख्या घटने पर (जैसे जापान)।
3. ग्रामीण-शहरी संघटन
परिभाषा: किसी देश की जनसंख्या का ग्रामीण और शहरी क्षेत्रों में वितरण।
महत्व: यह देश के आर्थिक विकास का सूचक है। विकसित देशों में शहरी जनसंख्या का प्रतिशत अधिक होता है, जबकि विकासशील देशों में ग्रामीण जनसंख्या अधिक होती है।
4. साक्षरता
परिभाषा: साक्षरता से तात्पर्य पढ़ने और लिखने की क्षमता से है। भारत में 7 वर्ष及以上 की आयु का कोई भी व्यक्ति जो किसी भी भाषा को पढ़ और लिख सकता है, उसे साक्षर माना जाता है।
महत्व: साक्षरता किसी देश के सामाजिक और आर्थिक विकास का महत्वपूर्ण सूचक है। यह जनसंख्या की गुणवत्ता को दर्शाती है।
5. व्यावसायिक संरचना
परिभाषा: जनसंख्या का विभिन्न व्यवसायों जैसे प्राथमिक (कृषि), द्वितीयक (विनिर्माण) और तृतीयक (सेवा) क्षेत्रों में वितरण।
